J.E. Sawyer's five hard lessons on RPG design

Yeah, I wanna say an Ultima game or 2 pulled some kind of BS that ruined a game of mine. The person I was quoting seemed to put off the designers responsibility and saying it doesn't matter should such an error occur.

J.E. Sawyer's five hard lessons on RPG design

But games like the Deus Ex series, System shock series and Fallout 3 are my favorite type of game. It combines the fun of shooting at things with the depth of an rpg into a nice simple package. Also there aren't a whole lot of fps rpgs I can name other than Deus Ex 3, Bioshock Infinite, and...

    Fallout 3 reviews round-up #25

not really, because it uses skill level whether you can open a certain type of lock or not, and then if your able to u have to do the grunt work to get it open. this compromise is a IMO better than straight minigame or skillcheck.

NMA article: My Fallout 3 adventures!

other than the constant harping on how unfalloutzy it is(little too fanboyish) i enjoyed the article. I thought the way he wrote it was funny, and moira is like the stupid suburban mom who wants to write a book on a subject she doesn't know.

    Fallout 3 reviews round-up #14

I'm not sure how buggy it is on the computer, but on my 360 it's crashed twice over 10 hours of play, and none for my brother in 7. The autosave system is very well done though, and usually places you where you left off. V.A.T.s might be more effective, but it is in no way broken/overpowered...

Fallout 3 guide creation #6: Da Warudo

Of course little details are important(they're the diff between an 8 and a 9-10) I just prefer discussions about issues, because it seems a little stupid to go apeshit on everything....like OMG EXPLODING CARS!!!!!!... i mean i like issues like the fatman, story, broken V.A.T.S, because...

Fallout 3 guide creation #6: Da Warudo

Which design decisions?( i know scaling and being able to beat every guild no matter what char u were are a few)Personally i rather enjoyed oblivion and gave it a B-, for being a solid fun game-no more no less. Fallout 3 i'll wait to see how much they screw it up, though i'm pretty sure...

Fallout 3 guide creation #6: Da Warudo

....i think i've found the perfect way to describe Bethseda.... when it comes tot he fundamentals in a game, they nail it. However when polish and small details come into play they fail like NASA rocket... I've thought about this alot when looking on the comments here, most of them looking...

Fallout 3 and Game Violence's Taboo

yeah i agree, the rest was probably just BS/Filler for the sake of appearances, stupid yes! Unfortunately games now aren't allowed to be as raunchy or graphic as they were back then, back when no one really cared(not even Jack thompson...ok maybe him) on another note...i love crotchety...

    Bethesda clarifies Fallout 4 speculation

best case scenario is that bethseda is making FO3 more appealing to the public so it brings Fallout back into the limlight of the manstream media and then it will work with ex-Black isle dev's to develop a real fallout game by remaking van buren using black isles ideas and wrting and...

Fallout 3 reviews: OXM UK, Level, Score, GMC, PC Gamer

play it and rate it yourself.... ...don't read the reviews(seeing a score is fine) and then make your own review. After writing ur own review read others and see if you agreed or disagreed and on what and then decide whether the game was horribly overblown or not. all in all, it's a game...

    Paste Magazine interviews Todd Howard

well considering it talks about settlement belief systems, and not believable gameplay features in real life...yeah you did start with a saving the world quest, saving the only world you ever knew....in each of the original fallouts, and because each of them is saving your home it is...

    Paste Magazine interviews Todd Howard

i know the signifigance is diff't, i was mainly commenting on your motivations being more implemented.. fo1/2 u were chosen to be savior of ur peoplez and in fo ur some dude looking for his dad...both basically tell you why ur char. started this journey or trek from ur home. i mean i'd be...

    Fallout 3 local community chats

just a precaution so it doesn't happen, i've seen alot of stuff when reading an article on here, that people do bicker over any answer they could give....just saying it before it happens...i did word it badly though as if it had happened so i aplogize for that i have to say having to wait for...

    Paste Magazine interviews Todd Howard

....i mean really? in fallout 1, you told that if the vault doesn't get a water chip in x amount of days everyone there will die -your instilled with the fact that you've been chosen by fate to save your home or finally free yourself from the shackles of the vault and discover a better life...
