Betheseda MIGHT be learning from there mistakes

It's been quite a few years since I played Fallout 1&2 the last time but the way the games usually went for me was up to luck more than anything. Fallout 1? You were stuck with a pistol and little to no armor for a while, I still remember the feeling when me and my friend played it originally...

    Fallout 4 Reviews

Seems the scores are around the 90% range mostly from the reviews coming in. Destructoid gave it a 7,5... ouch.

    A Lack of Skill?

I'm curious to see how the new system plays out.. I'm still not sure if it's a bad decision but it's certainly a big jump away from the old system. That and from what I read some reviews, there's very high requirements for some skills that feel like they ought to be easier to reach. It sounds...

Betheseda MIGHT be learning from there mistakes

Some developers might be, but I think it comes down to the publisher aspect more often than the developer being deluded. And since gaming has become multi billion dollar industry.. well.. it's just a sad reality. CRPG's do sell, as pointed out, despite some people claiming it to be a 'niche'...

Betheseda MIGHT be learning from there mistakes

Maybe it's the ambitions, need to make 'bigger' games, 'better' games.. AAA-titles, become famous.. and obviously making more money, that kinda pushes things to that direction. Making a 3d game is expensive after all, it requires a lot more work, lot more resources. It can yield some amazing...

    Supposed Spoilers from /v/

As I pointed in the other thread.. Mothership Zeta. I don't think even 'cool' is what they go for.

What BoS division do you speculate is in Boston?

Yes, yes it is. I didn't touch it, never would. I just don't know what they were thinking with that, I hope they've smartened up a bit after that..

What BoS division do you speculate is in Boston?

Well, I dunno, aliens went from being a funny easter egg to a real thing with an actual dlc and everything. Bethesda does what it feels like.

Betheseda MIGHT be learning from there mistakes

Well, Morrowind might have gone overboard with writing BUT it still did something right by steering away from the cliche fantasy in many ways. Familiar but still it it's own unique touch. F3's problem, and now F4's problem, is that Bethesda went with the 'fanservice' approach by taking a lot...

The making of Fallout 4 - Game Informer article

    1. Dialogue wheel? No inherently bad, good tool if you want to make conversations feel more 'real'. Not sure why designers want to emulate it in a crpg, conversations are key ways to provide information about the world to the player, hence why crpg's traditionally have lots and lots of...
