Wow. I cannot say much, but I'll let my good friend Cheezburgr-cat sum it up:

World map speed is "as it should be" by deafault. To speed it up, edit your your ddraw.ini by changing value of "WorldMapDelay2=66" to lower. Or WorldMapFPSPatch=1 to 0 (not sure about that, I'm kind of fond of the speed).

The problem is that Megamod and Restoration Project aren't compatible. Megamod contains parts of (at least, haven't played it) the RP. This causes files to overlap and then things go wonky. EDIT: Explained a bit better.
