Well I downloaded the UK version for 1.01 1.01 and moved all the files to the main fallout directory without installing the official 1.02. Nothing had to be deleted. Tried selling my spear to the temple guard in the beginning, and it only left me unarmed and penniless.

I've only the second fallout, installed the official 1.02+ patch the way that was instructed, and both before and after all this I've not seen a single cent of the items I've been offering. Also, my copy was packaged and doesn't seem to have an online manual to confirm if I'm missing...
