I´ve been doing exactly that - and more - since I´ve started the game because I wanted to avoid the issues I´m having now.
I´ve turned off auto-save from the start, created a new savefile everytime I save and never used V.A.T.S.
After starting to have more and more lag issues I´ve installed...
Now, having played for more than 80 hours, I have to revise my original post.
The lag issue gets worse and worse... I still don´t have a problem with freezes - looks like they really did patch that - but the lag simply ruins the game.
As it is now, I have to restart NV approximately every 2...
In "Point Lookout" there is a quest which requires you to go to the Cavern under the Dunwich Building and destroy a supposedly evil magical book by pressing it to the Pillar if you follow a specific quest-path.
Also - there is Jaimie´s diary which hints at supernatural occurencies in the...
Yes, the patches are included - it doesn´t say so in the manual or game-information though.
Good to know that Skyrim is now "officially" playable and doesn´t require a lot of luck to run proberly.
When I´m done with New Vegas I´m going to give it a shot.
But you´re right... it is annoying...
Skyrim runs fine? Really? I thought about buying it, but the boards were full of people who complained that the game is un-playable on PS3 if the save games exceed a certain size, so I decided against getting it.
Has this issue been resolved by now?
As for the patches, I can´t say for sure -...
I have the Ultimate Edition for PS3 and it´s sort of okay-ish.
I´ve played about 45 hours now and the game froze two times on me.
I have minor problems with lag - a few hiccups here and there while exploring the wasteland, but if I´m inside a building/vault/cave etc. the game runs perfectly...
You´re probably right - the game requires the player to complete some faction quests for the main story to make perfect sense, which I haven´t done.
The only thing I´ve done for the NCR so far is resolving the conflict with the Kahns, and I only did that because I needed to speak with Jessup...
I´m going to quote myself, because I´ve already answered your question:
and also
I´m getting the impression people here seem to get defensive over the issue I have with this particular story point - I don´t mean to insult anyone.
It´s just something that bothers me and I like to discuss...
I don´t see how the courier´s dealings with Benny are of much interest to the NCR - at least the leap from "there´s this guy who scares Benny shitless/murdered him" to "I want him to play a key role in our efforts to defeat the Legion and claim the dam!" is a rather curious one.
Not to mention...
I disagree with the first point: If you follow the story line, you only start doing things for the factions after they contacted you - on your way to Vegas you only have one encounter with each major faction: Bouder City (maybe the Mojave outpost, if you stray a little from the road) and Vulpes...
I´m currently playing Fallout: New Vegas for the second time and while I love this game there is one story point which doesn´t make much sense to me.
Since I´m trying to roleplay this time (the first was simple exploring, hoarding and becoming acquainted with the world and the limitations of...
