How to set CORRECT widescreen resolution for Fallout 2

Definite good way of suming up the situation with a 1366x768 screen. I was thinking about changing that screen sometime because some pixel lines are dead, will be sure to buy a 1920x1080 one. Also I was wondering if someone ever made a mod able to scale the dialog boxes only ?

How to set CORRECT widescreen resolution for Fallout 2

Now you're right about that after closer examination : 1366x768 is clean, but 960x540 is more blurry which means stretched pixels. Trying to go half my native resolution of 1366x768 would mean going 683x384. Tried that but f2_res_config does not want to register it : sets the y resolution back...

How to set CORRECT widescreen resolution for Fallout 2

All good here, black bars on the side are ok with original resolution. Small field of view though. Thanks for the input gustarballs1983. I tried this : * Graphic mode 4 and 1366x768 in ddraw.ini + the same resolution in f2_res_config.exe. * Graphic mode 4 and 960x540 in ddraw.ini + the...

How to set CORRECT widescreen resolution for Fallout 2

I tried 1366x768 windowed from f2_res_config.exe, yes. Dialog boxes look pretty small to me (screen is 15") Not sure if the "windowed" part work correctly though, as there is no actual window around the play area.

How to set CORRECT widescreen resolution for Fallout 2

Bumping this thread because it looks like my current case and some experts here may answer my situation. Just reinstalled Fallout 2 with RP, just want to do a new run after all those years. Dont want to mess around with options for a long time, but would appreciate a larger field of view, no...

    ☢ ATOM RPG ☢

For the sake of my life, PC is for work and consoles are for games. So I'm more than glad to have ATOM RPG on the Switch now. I only had time for character creation and tutorial until now, but it looks like the port can work nicely. Controls are intuitive, game looks fine. Hopefully I can find...

    ☢ ATOM RPG ☢

So, out of the blue, ATOM RPG just got released on the Nintendo Switch. As a non PC gamer, but still huge fan of FO 1&2, I bought it instantly. Hopefully the port is good and controls well, cannot wait to dive into post-apoc Russia.

    What's your favorite vidya game/series?

The Souls series has really renewed my interest in modern gaming these last 7 years, so I'd keep only this one.

    The Last Of Us

Same here, except about the mediocrity. I just put the game on easy, build a lot of tools, one shot everything that passes and rush through the time. Story, characters and environments have me hooked.

    The Last Of Us

I've played 3 hours of it so far. Story looks damned good, characters are attractive. But damned is that gameplay repetitive ! Sometimes I was it was just a movie, maybe I'll play it on easy and just rush through it.

Anyone having problem only playing Fallout obsessively

This is typical of good games : 1) you play a lot because they are good 2) then you play as an habit 3) finally you play because you master the game and dont wanna learn something else When you're at step 3, it is too late. Advice : dont play Dark Souls (or do play Dark Souls !)

    The Last Of Us

Thanks for the feedback. I'll certainly buy it and just play a plain straightforward game and enjoy it.

    The Last Of Us

Hello all, Any of you got the chance to playing The Last Of Us yet ? I did not read anything about the title (except that it is about survival in a post-apoc world !) and dont want it spoiled. Now I'm not looking for a new Fallout clone, but I thought this title might just be the kind...

    Dark Souls

Glad to see the Fallout community does like a not so RPG oriented game. As said earlier, first playthrough is the best, play alone and only call for help after the 20th death on the same boss (Ornstein and Smough for instance) I recently started a new game of Demon's Souls, it is just as good.

    Dark Souls

Havok engine is here. Graphics are the same in my opinion, two exceptions though : - Blighttown is a real pain to get through : some people call it 10fpsTown. I dont know how it is possible to overload PS3 memory this way while displaying what seems so few stuffs on screen... - Areas are way...
