Add Angry Joe to the people who are helping to kill our franchise

As a console player I prefer games that work 'out of the box' but I guess we will soon get to enjoy some less graphically demanding elements of the 'mod experience' :-)

new to fallout 4 bunch of questions

For sure I would try Fallout 1. If it came to Mac OS as Baldur's Gate did I would. I admit (not wishing to divert the thread but hey) that i now struggle with older games that may have better stories but are just so janky to play. I recall with deep fondness Morrowind and KOTOR, but I can't...

new to fallout 4 bunch of questions

I did say it was probably the second most enjoyable. I enjoyed AC Syndicate enough, but FO4's world was just more fun. Tomb Raider was good, but brutally short. MGSV was entertaining, but the second act fell apart. Alien Isolation was good but ultimately repetitive. I have no interest in 1st...

Add Angry Joe to the people who are helping to kill our franchise

Looks like It was a shame the underground didn't connect up, though FO3's underground was essentially the same tunnels over and over. Your points are not unreasonable, but essentially i guess I just had more fun with the game than you did so what are small issue to me may be a big deal to...

new to fallout 4 bunch of questions

Well this is a grumpy thread. With the exception of The Witcher 3 which has a stronger story (and particularly side content) Fallout 4 is the most enjoyable game I've played in the last 12 months. Seems likely that if the OP enjoyed other entries in the series, they will enjoy this one. I hope...

Add Angry Joe to the people who are helping to kill our franchise

ok: World is gorgeous. Perk system is improved as is voiced protagonist, both improvements. Quests are ok, main quest interesting if not fully realised (I like the 3 faction solution) Radiant quests can be a little tiresome but no worse than Skyrim. Settlement building is entertaining. I built...

Can we honestly say Fallout 4 is better than Fallout 3?

I think there are elements of both games that outdo the other. It's not as binary as 'is 3 better than 4 & vice versa'.

    What genre is Fallout 4?

I disagree. I'm on my 5th play through and have distinct flavours to the approach of each protagonist. To my mind 'Action RPG' suits it well, though genre classifications are ultimately fairly pointless. It is what it is.

Add Angry Joe to the people who are helping to kill our franchise

I quite like Angry Joe, and Fallout 4 seems a pretty decent franchise entry* *admittedly only having played FO3/NV/FO4 as I gave up on pixelly isometric games in the last century, even if they were good in their day...
