Fallout 2 is impossible to do since one critical shot could be fatal.

I'm not sure but I do not think he played the game on 'Very Hard' since you can easily run into groups of Legion/NCR in the early stages and do not stand a chance. Personally I only play New Vegas on Very Hard + Hardcore + No Fast Travel.
