If your OS is Windows XP: You try set Compatitility Mode in Properties of fallout2.exe (or fallout.exe) to "Windows 95 compatibility mode"? Or in "Windows 98/Me compatibility mode"? And try set checkboxes in "Display settings" section. Try it, it may help.

Re: hmm Ashmo is right. Only pictures in this directory, not a movies. Movies in Fallout pack in MVE format. Viewer/converter in Avi coded by ABel from TeamX (www.teamx.ru). You can download this program from site.

Unpack master.dat and read txt-files in Text/English/cuts directory. It's subtitles for all endings in Fallout. Or you can hear Narrator voice in Sound/Speech/Narrator directory (ACM plugin for WinAmp required).

Are you try install game in "full installation" mode? I had similar problems when half of game was loaded from CD and half - with HDD. And I always playing in FO1 on my Windows XP in "Windows 95 Compatibility Mode".
