I took a closer look at a map and it turns out Cottonwood Cove is a real place and its location in the game is accurate. Cottonwood is a small city between Flagstaff and Phoenix, unrelated to Cottonwood Cove.Apparently MCA or Sawyer said they mess a bit with Colorado River because scale it perfectly would create problem (in gameplay and size)
Cottonwood Cove is really Cottonwood because on its other side of the river you have Carp Cove and in game that is Lakelurk Cove, an unmarked location that has plenty of Lakelurks.

Several years ago, Wayside decided to try and crowd-fund a full-length movie entitled "Legend of Grimlock" through Kickstarter. That sure is him! I wouldn't say no to more Nuka break, but who knows what he's up to now?
Several years ago, Wayside decided to try and crowd-fund a full-length movie entitled "Legend of Grimlock" through Kickstarter.
The Kickstarter succeeded, but the "investors" at G&S immediately took their money back once the Kickstarter ended, plus interest. This "interest" was the rest of the money that was donated towards the Kickstarter by other backers.
So now Wayside Creations is owned by Geek & Sundry, and the original creators/actors of Wayside have decided to step down from the studio.
Since then, Wayside has made a shoe commercial for Converse and has sent out an e-mail claiming the original creators of Wayside are spreading "false information."
