The alt right's major presence is on the internet and on imageboards, hence why there's so much crossover into video games and anime because the internet attracts those kinds of nerds into it.

A lot of anime fans I've encountered also think they dislike Western culture, but really they're fart sniffing narcissists that think they're better than other manchildren for preferring modern anime over other cartoons.

A lot of them idiolize Japan's culture because it's pretty much America now on the inside but with an exotic look on the outside which makes them think they're deep by being interested in a culture that commercializes robots, anime, and silly shit instead of burgers and fries.

These same people despise any culture that's actually different to the commercial western world (Europe and the anglo countries) Hence why they are dislike the cultures of Natives, Jews, Muslims, Indians, Chinese, etc. Because they are all different to the decadence of the modern Western world currently.
