have you never played the original silent hill games? some of the songs off the soundtrack are enough alone to put you on edge. to this day no game has managed to beat those first 4 games in terms of sheer dread for me.

first four Silent Hill games? I've never really played either series. I might start looking into them though.

if you've never played either series you're in for a wild ride dude. altho i recommend you skip everything after silent hill 4 and maybe don't pay too much attention to Resi 5 and 6 but outside of those two mainline resident evil is entirely worth playing.

It does have a few jump scares and there also scary

so play Res 1-4, Silent Hill 1-4? I'm confused.

silent hill 1-3 are masterpieces. half of 4 is as well.

RE 5 and 6 aren't very good.

5 and 6 are good action games but poor Resident Evils.

6 is entertaining because of how unbelievably retarded it is. but 5 is just a poor man's RE 4.

If you play them as casual run and shooters they are pretty serviceable, good COOP too.

Thing is, resident evil is usually a bit more than serviceable. hell most of the series is comprised of certified classics so when they released two mediocre game in succession they felt a lot worse than they were. plus 5 makes you play with tank controls with the analog sticks. it won't let you use the D-pad which is fucking disgusting.

I am not making a case for them as good Resident Evil games, but rather a solid individual COOP shooters.

i still disagree. 5 controls like dogshit and 6 is a dumpster fire.
