Hmm, I see that you think it's shitty and so does the Codex. But the general audience somehow liked it, and I've seen them agreeing to the idea of the guy who directed the series to adapt Berserk for Netflix when he talked about it.
Castlevania had some decent things going for it. A few good action scenes and the show has great scenery and animation. Overall it was pretty damn bad and trying too damn hard to be edgy. A story trying too hard to be mature to only feel like it was made by 14 year olds.
The berserk adaptation might be good if he stays 100% true to the manga and doesn't change anything. As shit as castlevania is, it does have good animation.
With that I disagree. It varies from decent to terrible. And the visual style wouldn't fit Berserk, it doesn't convey creepiness or dread properly, the color palet is too cartoony too. I don't wanna see Griffith flipping someone off with a smirk on his face, I would cringe so hard I would take 100 KLANGnimes over that. Also, Americans butchering yet another manga is the last thing I want.
I can respect your opinion, honestly some of the animation in the show could be shit. LIke the fight with trever and alucard in season 1. I never had a problem with the visual style though. My biggest worry would be the fight scenes. Most of them are terrible. There would only be a few that i would call good in the castlevania series.
