Too much duel oriented, its not like Mount and Blade where there is sytem for mass battle and multiple opponent. Sure late game is easy but it has more to do with your stats getting inflated in contrast with the foes. But i basing my experience on playing the game when it was released, i am sure there is plenty of change already.
