Oh well that's because they don't have souls, that's why their culture has a lot of identity vested into products. That's why we see things like Gamergate or people who collect valueless overpriced toys related to their IP. It's their Identity. It's the only thing they really have to believe in

I think a society where you have to get up before the sun is rising to sit for 10 hours in some office so you get money to buy things you don't need to impress people you don't like, is crazy. I am not talking about people that have to work for just surviving mind you. That's a whole different discussion.

A world were young people develop dependencies to sugar and caffeine and over focus on leisure activities at the expense of both their bodies and their minds is a much worse prospect. Also 9 am is before the sun rises?
