No Mutants Allowed

Like, did they 'promise' a first person and a third person mode or did they say that that was something they were working on but ultimately decided to cut one in favor for the other? Cause if they promised I can see people being upset but if they never promised then I just see a bunch of entitled little shits.

Like, is CDPR never allowed to do anything but Witcher clones? Will there be outrage the moment they stray from it even when it is in a different IP all together? Because that's just unreasonable.

Cry me a river. Do these people not know of the term "this wasn't made for you"? I can understand being excited about a bunch of things but when they decide to go path A instead of path B then it feels disappointing. It could have been so great. So many great features. But the perspective had to ruin it...

Oh don't I know. Fallout New Vegas. Love nearly everything but the fucking first person gameplay in that piece of cessshit engine. It sucks, but sometimes you have to deal with it. Not everything is going to be made for you. Be upset if they ruin an established franchise by going into a different perspective. (Looking at you, Fallout 3). But this? It just sounds whiny and entitled.

Hell, even FO3, me - and many others at the time, expressed dissapointment, coupled with some diplomatic "I guess it's a fun enough shooter though." "it works allright as a Fallout themed action-adventure... "
People are like this with everything though, try movies.

I, for one, am very much looking forward to Cyberpunk 2077.

But Cyberpunk is brand new. I just looked it up and apparently it is only the second video game ever created and the first one was a platforming game. There is no precedent that has been set for what a Cyberpunk video game should be. One can argue the perspective change in Fallout, Baldurs Gate and Resident Evil but Cyberpunk isn't changing anything, it is setting its own standard.

Then again, nowadays we have a bunch of studios that kinda stagnate in doing the same thing over and over again. Maybe that's been burned into their brains. That a game studio does one thing and one thing only. If it deviates then that's bad.

Ryu Ga Gotoku studio is so cucked by the yakuza series that both the company and the engine they use are named after the series. That said the next main entry in the series is confirmed to be a turn based rpg rather than an arcadey beat em up game
