So it's not worth buying? What if I enjoyed the first half of DS1 but really dislike the second game?

I'd say it's worth buying, it was just a disappointment for me personally. It's not a bad game, and although I haven't finished DS2, DS3 is way closer in theme and feel to DS1 than DS2. Maybe wait for a sale tbh

Nah, i've heard that it's the worst DS by far so I didn't really bother, but i'm planning on going back to it soon.

I think it's way worse than Dark Souls. The bosses are easy(besides the pursuer since I parry like a retard) while the trash mobs are tedious. I wasn't the most fond of Dark Souls but I still enjoyed it. Would I enjoy it more(Dark Souls 1) as a mage/magic user?

That's a shame, then. I've heard the bosses are easy as well, did you play the DLC too? I've heard that's far better than the base game but the DLC for souls games usually is. Honestly I couldn't say, every souls game that I've played I've gone straight melee for the most part. You could do a sorcerer/melee hybrid or something like that though.

I'm not sure if I completed the DLC, I'll have to check. For Dark Souls I went with a dex build but with this game after failing with a dex build I went with strength with a character under 25% carry load. I suck against players besides the first one I faced. One of the guys I faced brought a friend s it was two against one. Also what's with the no estus rule?

Yeah I usually go with dex builds as well. I have no clue honestly, I usually only get invaded as well but fuck it, use estus if you get invaded dude, especially if it's 2 on 1, there's no reason not to. I'd say the only time you shouldn't use estus is if you invade someone and they're not using it, it probably means they want to duel or some shit. It's a dumb rule nonetheless imo

Is DS2 worth checking out though? It's only $20 on amazon right now with all the DLC and i'm seriously contemplating getting it.

Well it's not bad bad, the pvp is better than in Dark Souls but some things like the "lose up to 50% of your health" from dying a lot unless you use a human effigy is silly in my opinion. Also you can only be invaded when hollow instead of when just being human. I did like fighting enemies like The Last Giant just because giants...I find them interesting. I say it's worth a try.

This guy's especially this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=72Yj09LedTw Just look them up on Youtube. Just started the first DLC which isn't too bad besides the platforming and annoying enemies. Luckily I'm using Pate's Spear fully upgraded.

I played the game (haven't started the DLC's yet) and it was definitely worse than DS1. Like, the game is fun at times, but the bosses are piss easy, beating every one of them in one or two tries at most, but the mob enemies are fucking ridiculous.

I do like some of the stuff about the game though, the animations are pretty cool, some of the level design is great but also a lot of trash (Iron Keep, the gutter) and I swear i've fell off more ledges/cliffs than any other ds in this game. Pissed me off so much lol

I feel like this game would have been better if they had called it something other than DS2. It doesn't feel like a Dark Souls sequel at all to me.

I think bosses are easy too, killed bosses within the first try to the first couple of tries. Only boss I'm having trouble with is the stupid fume knight. Keeps tracking me doing full fucking 180s twirling like a ballerina then killing me despite attempting to roll behind him..

The developers probably got lazy and said "How can we make him hard enough, oh yeah! make his weapon hitbox huge and become 100% aimbot accurate!"
Watch out for the first DLC final boss, your weapons degrade in a couple hits so you'll need healing powder..lots if you don't do much damage.

Sorry if I come off as whiney but I've only had a select few games that have infuriated me with bullshit mechanics.
