So apparently I should've have turned the Laito into a Lighting weapon and instead should've kept upgrading it past 10. Fuck. This game's mechaanics are pretty esoteric without a guide.

The Iaito? I don't know what the Lightning Laito is

When you reach the giant blacksmith he can turn the Laito into an electric weapon. I did it because as far as I was told armored enemies are weak to electricity. But apparently making it electric removes the scaling so that makes the Laito do less damage.

Are you talking about the katana? I can’t find anything called that but besides the point yeah smithing in the game can be confusing if you don’t know what you want.

Yeah the Katana you get in Blighttown. I was told it was a good Dex weapon, and it was, but then I turned it into a lightning weapon and I apparently ruined it. Good thing it can be switched back.

Oh yeah that’s a Iaita lol. And yeah I was gonna mentioned you can return it to base form but have to reupgrade it again.
