When I was following the initial Destiny details that was what I was hoping for, then D1 alpha released and I just got a competent shooter with mmo-light elements.

The OG concept art of the Spartan looking dudes with capes and fur wandering around a gigantic gold temple with glowing plasma treasure is still so evocative imo

OG Destiny did come with the Music of the spheres which is a prequel to Destiny that's probably some of the best music to come out of the whole affair. The poems were originally supposed to be in the liner notes.

I want actual space stuff, not going from planet to planet beating up jelly monsters with my space sword. you know it is a space sword because it looks like a sword with a bit of neon on it.
