Like, Jesus Nolan, I know you are embarrassed about having to acknowledge these are comic book characters, but are you also that fragile about your villain using make up?
For all the flaws in Joker (which is still a pretty solid movie) at least that one didn't tried so hard to posture about the character using face paint, they even showed Joaqer applying it like make up directly in front of a mirror.
