Disappointing world design and writing for the most part. Everywhere was the size of either a shoebox, or sardine can. Wasn't fun to explore and the weapons were not much fun either. Side quests were also pretty shoddy. Nothing really grabbed my interest and I couldn't really go fuck around in the map since it was so small and not really meant to be explored like that.
Can't remember the specifics, but I didn't like the options given to me for the first towns fate. Felt forced to pick between two dumb options iirc. No memorable characters, and leveling up didn't feel like much.
Weird because on my recent revisit I am finding most of tbe side quests really interesting and all of them have multiple choices. The small worlds are a plus to me because I have grown sick of open world games. The combat is shoddy but that can be fixed in a sequel. There is more than 2 choices in Edgewater, so maybe you should've explored the dialogue tree more.
