I have not seen them. Seems like the lead guy was still fleshing out his ideas. Should have just waited for a more complete cohesive story to emerge instead of a bunch of stuff overtime.

Anno just had moved on from Eva a long time ago. The last movie was basically him saying "stop dragging me back to this, idiots".

If they're gonna remake Eva I'd really rather see them retell the story with Misato and Kaji as the pilots. Their inner struggles and characters were more interesting than shinji and Asuka imo. Anytime I suggest this tho people just say I'm dumb lmao :v

I mean, it would be a story were nothing is solved at the end. I am perfectly fine with Eva just being left alone, I don't even read the 1000 spin offs they make a year, but this one was from Anno himself so I was hoping for something good.

Honestly, I'm just a sucker for Misato and Kaji character moments. There werent nearly enough for Kaji imo. Really a shame as he was one of the most interesting characters.
