Indeed, and when I was so angry like yesterday I questioned myself it is healthy for me to play these games.
Title in question BTW was Metroid Dread.

I lost 26,000 souls the other night. I yelled fuck real loud and made the dog start barking but it is important to not let that anger stew and carry on while you rageplay.
You got gaming burnout. These days i personally even mostly watch let's play than playing actual storyline heavy game tbh. I even set the difficulty in strategy games to easy most of the time. I even barely played vanilla games, mods seem to be always better than those.

Don't play a game just because "it's in the Metroid series" play it because you want to keep playing it. I have dropped more games than I can count.
In some games the difficulty is the fun part though. Might get super pissed off and frustrated but in a way it's part of the fun of finally overcoming the problem. The question is why it is difficult. Bad design or because you fucked up? If it is bad design I'd advice to take a break from the game or outright stop playing it.
It is also kind of the anger that makes me go on because this just pisses me off that I keep dying while doing my best to improve but sometimes not seeing the patterns. Also because I am perhaps tired.
Maybe Eissa, but lately I have not done that much gaming other than the last two months. Before that I barely spend much time on gaming, mostly because I was not in the mood.
The idea that playing a handful of games can give you burnout feels somehow wrong.
Mr Fish, you could say that I 'fucked up', but unlike some of the previous games there is a lot of memorization when it comes to boss battles, and these things can sometimes move so fast that I can't keep up with it.
And what is annoying is that there is a lot of focus on these boss fights. Some are stupidly easy, but others can make you tear your hair out.

You are getting too old for spastic twitch based games. maybe.
