Norwegian proverb "more to grab, more to love" (it rhymes in Norwegian) refers to a little bit of "puppy fat" to surround your ideal girl

Same goes with faces, but this is much better known in the fashion industry: pretty faces are boring. You need a bit of an edge, something to stand out, maybe a bit of a nose, maybe lips that protrude a bit too much, *some* deviation from the "perfect" is usually what makes a face go from "yawn pretty" to "ooo :o"

Same with the Portuguese proverb "fat is beauty" (it rhymes in Portuguese). Fat in this sense means body fat, not being fat (different words in Portuguese).

It basically means the same as in your Norwegian example.

Wait, does Danish not compound words? Cus we say the same in Norwegian, but the term gets compounded to a single word: Valpefett.

Danish and Norwegian is very similair. Well Bokmål atleast. Ny Norsk is a whole other story though haha. I for some reason have an easier time understanding Norwegian than Swedish. Well if u count out the Terra Scanian dialect. We have a saying in Denmark that; "Norsk skrives på samme måde som Dansk. Men med stavefejl."
