its just a long way to understand what is the meaning to be RPG player. sometime we just need to let go our difference, and embrace what our community become
But doesn't Obsidian play pNp before and during game development and in general anyways? I'm not saying you're incorrect in how The Codex views the situation.
The Codex were generally less tolerant of New Vegas than NMA. From there, you could see how one of them saw the Legion, disappointed, and now looking forward to Tyranny, and the other doesn't even care.
New Vegas is heavily limited by Bethesda's rules and design principles. Obsidian couldn't have made it more focused on PNP RPG elements without completely changing the gameplay.
hi all i'm sorry if some of you were confused. rpgcodex have hated obsidian since they half assed Pillars of eternity (again, its their opinion). thats why u dont see it in their top 50 rpg.
(new vegas is in top 10 however)
infact, they seem didnt hold high expectation on tyranny. they prefer Larian studio's Divinity OS 2 to be worthy successor as flagship in these Neo-CRPG era (alongside with underrail )
I know what you mean. But if you look at most of the discussion about Fallout, you would see that New Vegas was still kind of less accepted than how it is in NMA. It's mostly because they had wider experiences with RPG of NV's caliber.
