Quite alot of people don't like bethesda here. I mean personally I am pretty annoyed after fallout 4 DLC and skyrim remastered. These are both piles of shit to be honest. However I would't say I dislike the company yet however it seems I am disliking them more

I liked Oblivion, and Fallout 3.

But past those? Skyrim was stupidly dumbed down, and Fallout 4 proved my suspicions.

I have crossed them off my 'AAA devs I can trust list'.

Same with me really. Fallout 3 was my first fallout game and I really liked (Although now it a toss up bewten NV). I did quite enjoy skyrim but nowhere near fallout 3. I sold the game before any DLC came out. I have gotten skyrim on PC again because of mods to get rid of dragons and kinda 'improve' the game. Also it is quite good to make mods on.

I also whent back an played oblivion witch I enjoyed although ind't finish the game. It had some intresting quest etc but from what I played I enjoyed

The issues with skyrim, that I had, was an utter lack of magic, terrible weapon balance, lack of enchantments, and overall, just...less of 'everything'.

Sure, nice graphics, but TERRIBLE animations, god it hurt me to watch them swing swords like a spastic.

Hell, oblivion had smoother animations in many aspects! Which is freaky.

Fallout 3 is IMO, easily below NV, but both are okay games.

Fallout 3 to me is more 'shooty shooty funtime action', while NV is more 'lets talk ourselves out of this mess, and shoot if we have to'.

Yeah one thing I will say is that fallout 3 was more of a harsh environment to survive in. It generally felt more like a wasteland where people where struggling where as NV was more like what society would be like it if it rebuild a little etc

I honestly never found fallout 3 to be that 'harsh' though...Your average wasteland explorer/merc massively outclasses everything other than the boss bandits.

I never understood how such pathetic enemies survived this far.

by the time i discover that food from pre-war survive for 200 year make me realize there is something very wrong with this games, be it from world building or general writing. I was 14 back then, and i admit when new vegas didn't include "guided" tutorial like in fallout 3 was; i'm disapointed.

Yeah, I don't think a can of spam will last 200 years! XD

people here talks about how james (father) is very forced as your backstory, but i'am actually enjoyed it quite a bit (at least 4 year ago). The way that fallout 3 introduce you to james, the vault, special is one that make me truly immersed. i'm still recalling those sound that play during baby section

I didn't mind James, until he died in a rather annoying way.

I would have loved for him to settle down in Rivet city, for you to say hello from time to time.

And i believe, even with problem surrounding of james motivation why did he left vault 101, i was truly shed tear when james died. i care him, dunno why. Especially when the game show the picture of your character in 10yr old (one that holding gun) with james.

but this is before i eccounter someone like ulysses, Boone, veronica and Raul the ghoul. Yeah new vegas does give past bethesda fans like me a taste of previous fallout

@ThatZenoGuy Agree, more choice is just better than forced sad plot

Agreed.

NV gave choice, and Fallout 3 made the choices for you.
