I don't get the racist part either, but I think that it's better than TFA. Not sure about the prequels though, might have to watch them all again.

Dunno about this case, but "racist" has been new-speak'd lately, to refer to "sjws" and such. Like, "if you don't hate blacks, you are a racist!"

The racist comment comes from one of their writers making a full blatant post about of Empire being White Supremacists. This explains why Rouge One's "rebels" are filled with a 'diverse' set of characters, whereas the Empire is nothing but "hurr white pepoles", despite...the Empire open to all humans of any color. Logic. You can't make this shit up, people.

Uhm, that was a joke but the Empire IS a bunch of Space Nazis. Metaphor and all that. No, they're probably open to humans of all color but it doesn't matter because they're explicitly bigoted pieces of crap either way.
