Yeah, but we're talking about other countries hating the president. Walpknut said that whole countries hate Trump and I said that whole countries hated Roosevelt and Wilson too.
Sorry but I cant understand though Americans voted trump in on a majority so why would a majority hate him ? In UK that would be a fair comment because are PM is actually not voted him (How the fuck does that work).
So he done things he said he was going to do and a major of american still hate him ? even though he was voted in a week okay ?
He won the electoral college. He had more electoral votes than Hillary Clinton. Basically each state has a number of electoral votes, and if you hit over the majority first you win.
There were also people who liked neither candidate that didn't vote for either, no election has 100% show up rate, specially in the US with all the laws from the segregation days that actively suppress certain groups from voting and the system of the Electorate college itself not really being representative of actual percentage of population.
It's not a very good system and fails to be a good tool to judge populace opinion. Which kind of means that the mandate to rule argument is rather weak, because it means that they have a mandate to rule for the minority of Americans.
And even if they win my majority I don't get how this means everybody should surrender their rights to protest their action or that this would mean their actions would have no impact on the public favorability. It's kinda childish.
Though I do admit, protesting the president before he has done anything as president is very childlike and rather ridiculous. Unless he has a proven criminal record, protesting so vehemently and contesting the election is an attack on American democracy (whatever that means) though now, as a president he must be held accountable by the people for his actions.
Before he has done anything? Dude they are in the process of terminating the only affordable Healthcare service with no back up plan and they are trying to enact laws that criminalize abortions, defunding several government agencies that even offer abortions and even putting their thumb in the international cake via a Global gag rule.
That is without taking into account the Muslim ban that is currently being fought against. Also, contesting elections is the right of all voters, thinking that Democracy = Absolute reign is kinda stupid and is what allows corruption to fester.
Did you know that the Whitehouse website removed their section on climate change and the Trump administration barred scientific government agencies from publicly disclosing scientific reports until they are approved by his administration as following their agenda? Trump has done a lot of shit in just one week.
The Healthcare thing is stupid, abortions... lot's of people support it, lot's of people hate it and what's wrong with the government trying to meddle in global politics? That's their job.
Contesting the election is a right fair enough, but it's a double edged sword. People forgive contesting the election depending on who won and who's contesting it. I promise you, if the far right was protesting everyone would be spitting on them.
What's wrong with a single power meddling in foreign policy to criminalize something that has been a human right for a while? You don't see how shit that is?
Also the far right already protested Obama's election twice (the birther thing, remember? Trump was a birther) and they have done it for a while (hell they once started a civil war over it), no idea why you are infering they are properly behaved gentlemen....
It's shit sure, but it's normal. Hillary wanted to risk war with Russia, just to help the rebels put up their own authoritarian regime in Syria. That's also pretty shit.
Was it bad that they contested it?
Why even bring up Clinton? She lost, the election is past, and this is Trump now risking lots of shit, fucking over tons of people and increasing itnernational tensions. Seems kind of retarded to go "But Herlary!" when she isn't even a factor.
What I'm trying to say is that both sides are shit, and that every president does something shitty. Trump is far and away from being the worst president the US has had.
And what I am trying to point out while you mediate with dumb platitudes is that Trump is doing tons of shit that is fucking people over just on his first week and he is doing lots of proto facsist shit, so people protesting his actions are completely on their right to do so.
