Weed can cause hallucinations.

Not to the extent it was used on the episode.

I mean the kid just smoked a joint and had face melting hallucinations and apparently lost conciousness... I wonder how many marihuanas he injected.

They need to use synthetic marijuana if they want to show that. It will melt your fucking skull...and OD you.

It takes place in the 60s-70s so no synthetic pots of weed.

One of my biggest pet peeves. I dont even smoke pot but the idea that a show can be that ignorant of basic stuff today? No. For fucks sakes.

I only ever heard of weed causing hallucinations - or rather psychotic episodes - in people who allready were having psychotic episodes. You don't even get hallucinations with LSD, even *that* is a movie trope.

That is dead wrong my friend.

The world is full of misinformation and derp. expecting otherwise is to invite failure. I enjoy a good burn every so often, and the closest I have come to a hallucination is that of hearing something. And that's a situation of being stoned literally all day smoking non stop. I have never heard of "face melting" experiences being an effect of THC.
