It is retarded, but it's only done in american cartoons and some of their dubs. Like how characters in DBZ were sent "to another dimension" instead of dying, and when Goku falls to Hell, it isn't hell but HFIL...

The version I have is pretty unaltered. They mention death and the shirts say hell. I think its the funimatiom dub? Idk
