Not sure who the guy in the car was but from what i've read there was no confrontation untill antifa showed up. Not like it would be the first time they are out for escalate things.

Given the past actions of some ANTIFA/BLM members, people are sceptical whenever they're mentioned in the news. That said, ANYONE, whatever side they're on, should not bring weapons and go looking for a fight and should be condemned if they do, such as in this case.
