No Mutants Allowed

Makes the Spirit Sword shit at the end of the Zamasu arc seem quaint and it's not even the end of the arc. And as usual Dragon Ball fanboys are breaking their necks pretending like any of it makes any fucking sense.

Tenshinhan: He became that strong by absorbing the Genkidama? But the Genki Dama wasn't even strong enough to damage his opponent.
Whis: Oh you see he used the Genki Dama to power himself up after he depleted his energy.
T: Then what's that transformation?
W: Listen, he just fucking did it, alright? Shut up.

They literally explained that he used the energy from the Genkidama to boost himself to his next limit. He also did this in the Android 13 movie, so i don't know how how that is an asspull.

Because 1. That movi is not canon and 2. They explicitly said that he only absorbed the energy of the genki dama to replenish his drained energy after after using it up on the Kaiken + blue combo.

Dude, they said they are retelling the movies.

Uhmm they aren't tho...

What about Beerus?

The Battle of the Gods movie and Resurrection F were modern that first were stated as canon and then adapted into the series. Meanwhile the Android 13 movie, where Goku absorbed the Genki Dama, was one of the old non-canon movies that don't fit on the timeline that were explictly stated to not be canon.

Also they stated that Goku only used the Power of the Genki Dama to replenish his energy after he depleted it with the Kaioken + Saiyan Blue combo and then he just awakaned Ultra Instict .... cause... then he lost it again... cause.

Dragon ball has NEVER made any modicum of sense. It's always been a self contradicting mess. Honestly who cares?

Even not having ever seen DB myself, "who cares" isn't usually something that is intelligent to say. "Who cares" has a pretty simple answer that is answered by "at least half of our viewers/fans or so".

Coherency, even as whimsy a plot might be, is valued because it makes things valid and not some random bullshit like editorial issued directions or pandering fanservice, or maybe just laziness. That you say "who cares" about a franchise in a Fallout forum, I don't know what to say about that.

no arnie you don't understand, Dragon ball straight up forgets characters and entire plotlines when writing new ones.

Even for Dragon Ball standards that whole transformation was an asspull. Fifn't help that the explanation of what it is was really lame too.

Even by Dragon ball standards? What about when buu and gotenks and piccolo (four people previously said only two could enter at a time) were stuck in the hyperbolic time chamber and they just said "eh let's just have them scream so hard it opens a portal"
Walpknut

Yeah, even worse than that because at least that one was first a power that Buu showed beforehand and also it wasn't the climax of an arc.
