She gest a boyfriend and a Contract of some kind, she is all go getter and happy the whole season, then the contract ends some way and there is some plot twist in her relationship and she goes back to how she started the season.
There are people like that. My mother is that person. The show is trying to be show about broken self-destructive people and I really don't understand what's so hard to understand about that. I understand that you don't like the shows very premise and I don't understand why you continue to watch something that is so clearly at odds with your taste.
#1 it's not a bad show.
#2 it simply doesn't appeal to you.
It's not as if relationships are ruined in the show because of some outside force. The characters do it to themselves. Whether or not a show about self destructive people appeals to you is subjective but just because the show is about self destructive people doesn't make it bad.
It is a bad show. I can find so much bad writting and laziness in almost every episode, the animation is also terrible and the plotlines are repetitive. Jus because the characters are self destructive doesn't exuse all that.
I can concede when something is good but not my cup of tea (LOTR for example) but I just can't see how this show gets so much acclaim. It's garbage.
There's not much of a difference between a bad show and a show that doesn't appeal to you, because quality is subjective. That said, Walpknut is kinda in the wrong here, because Bojack isn't meant to be bad, it's meant to be depressing and introspective.
Because I have an unhealthy propensity towards having to see things through the end if I spent more than 3 hours on them, and I watched the whole of season 1.
Of course, they don't change. They know they suck and they're too rooted into who they've become to just fix themselves. What you're witnessing here is consistent characters. Meanwhile in Rick and morty the writers wanna have they're cake and eat it too in every way.
