Some old games actually wouldn't let you finish the game unless you re-played with a higher difficulty.

Or have a big text over the screen at all times that says EASY MODE so that people making reviews of the game can't pretend that they aren't playing easy.

I have no problem with a game mocking me for playing on easy, as long as I can see the real ending. If the game wants me to go through it multiple times to see the real ending, then no, I'm not putting up with it.

For an action game, I kinda want to see the armor of protective gear on your character to go up as the difficulty lowers, so at the hardest difficulty, you're wearing basically no armor, just normal clothes, while at the easiest, you're wearing this big and bulky armor wrapped in bubble wrap topped with a football helmet.
