Well, capitalism rewards ambition, hard work, and risk. Most people don't have ambition or take risks. Boo hoo on them I guess.

Anyone who honestly believes most rich people are rich because they work the hardest or take risks is a fucking moron tbh.

Old money is usually dirty and product of taking advantage of broken systems or even illegal action that is only pardoned by further corruption, inheritances and policies that benefit the rich usually keeps them afloat through the generations.

There are also people who luck out with oil, people who benefit from economic bubbles who then luck out and manage to keep afloat after they burst.

Shit is so blatant that Nouveau riche is a derrogatory epitet and new money people are usually seen as out of the norm and in many instances is used to imply it will be short lived.

So you're mad that a family can stay rich through the generations?

Only because they usually do it at the expense of everyone else and I was also pointing out the naivete and stupidity of believing rich people are rich because they work the hardest. Capitalism isn't a meritocracy.

A poor person becoming rich under capitalism is actually pretty rare, most times it has be acquired through underhanded methods. The middle class is shrinking in the US, and many other capitalist countries.
