This sounds kind of naïve but are really plausible at this time? It's a huge fuckoff project they don't want to gamble and it can't be too far into development. That and leaks sometimes are rather "leaks" that just happen to match the game's hype and marketing cycle.

The only feasible one right now is from a supposed Italian localizer. They statedmany things about the localization process that lends some credence.

The guy kept it vague because he doesn't wanna risk getting fired but from what he claims we got this: Possibly India or Sri Lanka region, the regional food is some spicy pasty, there is a fat grass pokemon mentioned often.

There is a Jungle boy character, some location refered to as the Arena and how one of the starters seem to have some pattern that resembles a fake face somewhere.

Huh. Kind of vague aight. The Asia Southeast part would be interesting even if that'd most likely mean a redesign to the ye olde "ancient ruinsTM" of most Pokémon games so far.

The arena seemingly has special rules (maybe new mechanics) as there are items that can only be used there.
