Have you played Tyranny yet? It'd the most remaniscent design wise I feel, in the middle point between old school and modern design with the alignment system being based around faction reputation. Other than that it depends on the specifics of "like NV", I guess.

Problem is that I don't like games set in the fantasy genre. I prefer science fiction.

Could try fallout 3. I mean the pitt DLC is pretty good. I mean the guy in charge of that DLC was spot on. But really you've played it the wrong way round you should of gone fo3 FNV

Also you might have to wait awhile but when my mod is more done you could play that. I mean its not going be as polished but hopefully it be good like FNV in some ways

Why not, instead, try to find anything similar to Fallout 1 and 2 to play? *wink wink*

I have played Fallout 3 lolpop109, I played and finished it back in 2007/8 when it came out and all it DLCs.
I even reviewed several of them years ago.

But FNV improves on FNV on so many levels that it is difficult if not impossible to go back and realize what is all missing.
Even mods can not fix the quests or the dialogue.

What games would that be Dark Angel? Not really a fan of Arcanum as as I mentioned earlier I do not care for games in the fantasy genre such as Tyranny, PoE1/2.

Atom RPG is not finished yet so I will have to wait for that.

You should try out Deus Ex. It's a science fiction FPS-RPG

That's what I was going to say. Immersive sims do quite scratch that itch. Be it the classical Deus Ex or System Shock 2 or the modern Prey (2017) and Dishonored. Prey even has its DLC/expansion thing coming E3.

I think that Dark Angel tries to guide you towards FO: Ressurection and Nevada.
As mentioned Deus Ex is great (but it's more stealth).
Age of Decadence is great post-apo game, where old technological wonders became magic in legends. It also has 8 totally different archetypes (each with it's own MQ).

Guys, I grew up with Deus Ex ;)
I don't even have to install it, it is always on my computer.
And yep, I played Invisible War, Human Revolution, but not Mandkind Divided as sadly my PC doesn't run it properly because of its age. (I also hate the micro transaction stuff)

Oh, I also have System Shock 2, another title I grew up with.

Yes, like Alphons said you'd better off playing Fallout 1.5: Resurrection and Fallout of Nevada, if you haven't already.
AoD also came into mind, and if the appearance of fantasy turned you off, believe me, it's not actual fantasy like DnD and such.
There's also Underrail, but I kinda vaguely remember you not really liking it that much.
