    Master

No, Fallout 1 is 80 years after the bombs fell. Stop making shit up when you don't know the facts. Vault 13 wasn't found because it was hidden under a mountain. Vault 15 was only accessible via a hole in the ground. Vault 31-33 had their entrance right in the open. We don't know what is in the...

    Master

But how is it hard to find? The entrance is right at the surface, with a big-ass number of the vault written on it.

So what do people think of the characters?

I mean, they nearly literally say that they're worried about their profits, and that they quite literally want to win capitalism. And that's all the writers wanted to do, too, they certainly didn't go around in their writing meetings going all political theory on it. They're writers, that's...

AV Club and which games should you play post show- thoughts?

Yeah but he loves Fallout 2. I guess the goofy jokes make it so much better.

My first post since 2018 and the fallout tv series

I for one advocate communist revolutions whenever possible. Nothing kills more communists than a good commie revolution and the party cleansing that inevitably follows. Eh, but most of those were communists, so it doesn't really count.

So what do people think of the characters?

Thing is, though, the show doesn't think that, it's just you thinking way too hard about a show that is the equivalent of dangling keys for Fallout 3 and 4 fans :D But I know what you mean, as I said before I also think way too hard about the scientific aspects because that's just what I do.

So what do people think of the characters?

It's kinda pointless to think too hard about all the politics in the show, because the writers certainly didn't, either.

So what do people think of the characters?

It's a writing problem. Pipers article is an ending slide, but if they make it playable after the end, the world should reflect your actions. Sure, have synth patrols. Make it so you open up the Institute more so that they actively help. But the thing is that you can't really change the amount...

So what do people think of the characters?

It's also their goal to remain perpetually underground, but if they win they will continue dicking around the surface world despite not having interests there. You're also made leader of the Institute but you have zero control over what they do. You can't tell them to stop wasting energy on...

So what do people think of the characters?

Funny enough, the wiki also mentions that the Institute, even after 200 years of research, still considers cold fusion impossible. That is, of course, now because Vault-Tec buried the research, even when done independently on the other side of the country, to win capitalism. The lore on nuclear...

My review of Fallout: the Series Season One 9/10

I think at most the surrounding landscape could be generated with handmade important locations, but I think its better to just go thr classic fallout way and do everything in individual maps with high detail. No need for compression of the world to walkable distances.

How would you do a Fallout Show?

Don't call it flashback then, just have the first scene of each episode to be a pre-war segment and the rest to be post-war. Kinda like they already did with the Ghoul, except make it a story that actually goes somewhere. Or better yet, don't do pre-war stuff.

How would you do a Fallout Show?

Why the need to have characters still alive after 200 years? If you wanna have pre-war scenes (dunno why to begin with), have them with unrelated characters and have the post-war characters find their corpses or some holotapes. Have flashbacks tell a story pre-war that in the end ties in with...

So what do people think of the characters?

My take is that they had a large fission infrastructure that was relying on a dwindling supply of uranium, and the microfusion technology came too late to fix the world. Even if the technology couldn't be made larger than a backpacksized 60 kW unit, those could be potentially produced en masses...

So what do people think of the characters?

Gecko was clearly a fission reactor, albeit a scifi styled one with lots of nonsense in it. In my interpretation of the world of Fallout, large scale fusion reactors didn't exist. I'll go deeper into it tonight when I have some time.

    EFAP on Fallout

Who, Vault-Tec? I mean, they're culture warriors alright, but by that reading so would be the Legion. Wouldn't call Vault-Tec to be particularly "woke" or related to DEI, either, unless you're using those words in a manner I'm unfamiliar with.

    EFAP on Fallout

Critical Drinker is a character played for the laughs, of course. The guy behind it is a decently accomplished author, although he is scottish and thus likely does drink too much anywah. And well, he has a shitload of people watching his videos. I guess what many people like is that he isn't...

    EFAP on Fallout

Critical Drinker always points out when there are diverse characters and frequently harps on about media trying to convey "THE MESSAGE" instead of trying just write goos stuff. He's not wrong to some extent, but also goes on about that way too much.

My review of Fallout: the Series Season One 9/10

Indeed. Caesar is a pretty well thought out villain that in the context of the game world kinda makes sense. Its realistic that people would follow him and also that some people under his rule are pretty content. He's not a villain that is just evil. His plans are pretty damn evil, but it takes...
