What was the Funniest Argument You've had with a Bethesda Apologist?

Daily reminder those people are the same who say NMA is awful and the laughing stock of the "Fallout fanbase" (read: Fallout 3 and 4). Also, regarding the Steam discussion someone mentioned, Fallout 4 is an RPG. It's just a very, very bad one, for a lot of reasons, including: - Enforced...

The good aspects to Fallout 3?

It's even better when you realize you have Azura's blessing and nothing else. It's, in a way, a prophecy stands true because people are continuously trying to fulfill it.

The good aspects to Fallout 3?

Exactly. I like how when you first meet the ashlanders and are tested, the dunmer goes "you are not the Nerevarine, you are only one who could become the Nerevarine". This year I learned a lot about Greek customs and oral tradition, and it made me appreciate Morrowind's story much more in...

    Best Mad Max Film?

Fury Road was the one I liked the most. If it had been Mel Gibson instead of Tom Hardy, I would have liked it even better. Had the roles been switched (Max and Furiosa) nobody would bat an eye. There is no message in Fury Road, only the one you want to find. Movies like Forrest Gump have a...

    Fallout NV Survival Mode Improvements

I use a few mods that make it much more interesting: - Project Nevada: Core module only, as Rebalance fucks up the rest of the mods in this list. - JSawyer: baby's first difficult overhaul, but nice. - Vicious Wastes: a real kick in the nuts. Changes way too many things, makes the game much...

You perform brain surgery on the guy and he's like "here, have some money, moving on...". And even better: if you stop working with him, he doesn't thank you for saving him and lets you go your merry way, he goes "next time you say that shit I'm having you torn up by my Praetorians". In Fallout...

What was the Funniest Argument You've had with a Bethesda Apologist?

I like how these people believe they own the truth and know exactly what the rest of the people think. How can you even argue with people who claim to know your opinion on a game that wasn't even made?* Having played FO1 AFTER FO3 and FNV... I actually like FO1's gameplay better. It just looks...

The good aspects to Fallout 3?

Wasn't like, only one game between both? Oblivion, and no other else. Frankly Morrowind's story is the best I've played in any Bethesda/Fallout game, if only because of how it progresses, like a true Messiah prophecy, instead of "bam, you are the Dragonborn!".

And it actually pulled off the "corrupt company" joke better than Bethesda.

I'm amazed at how someone preaching about suspension of disbelief doesn't even understand what the expression is all about, and how does it work. This is suspension of disbelief: It's suspension of disbelief because we believe something that just can't happen in our world or that doesn't make...

Almost as ridiculous as the scores made by gaming journalist, whose work can destroy or build a game's reputation, meaning devs are inclined to hand them over money because, in the long run, 50.000 dollars are nothing compared to the millions they can lose if their game is reviewed badly. I...

I can only speak about the Bright Followers, the Legion, the Khans, and the Kings, since most of those things you mentioned have ot do about Fallout 2 and NV DLC I haven't played. The Bright Followers are just that, followers of Bright. A guy who is a non-feral Glowing Ghoul, which is something...

How does this even make sense to you? If I told you that Coca-Cola has the best organic chemists in the world, would you believe me? Then why would you believe a futuristic soft-drink from the future would have the best organic chemists in the world working on it? Couldn't ANY other company...

Not only that, but if Nuka-Cola was truly the product of chemical geniuses, its price should skyrocket and the drink itself should be a precious commodity few can afford... not this everyman's Coca-Cola rip-off. Nuka-Cola was so much better when it: a) Was blue. b) Was named accordingly to the...

Gothic 1 too. You had to impress plenty of people to even be part of a faction. And all the quests made sense in one way or another: you either had to prove yourself capable of doing things, or had the skill to be part of the faction in other cases. In a game like Gothic, where armor is useful...
