Attn RP fans: Naming the Primitive Tribe.

Ah, I just might use something like this. However, we can't mention Sulik as it's not always certain that the player will know who Sulik is when they first enter the tribe.

It seems we have a pretty clear winner. Now it's simply a matter of which version of Umbra we go with: 1. Umbra 2. Umbra Valley 3. Umbra Shore 4. Umbra Tribe

I've never made a poll before. I just tried to edit my initial post, but I didn't see an option for a poll.

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 2.1.2b (Unofficial Expansion)

Yeah, if it were implemented, it would certainly need to be optional, as it's such a major alteration of the game.

Good to hear someone is using Dex. He's the first thing I ever wrote for the RP, so I've got a soft spot for the fella.

Currently leading the pack in my mind: Umbra

Attn RP fans: Naming the Primitive Tribe.

Yes, that's an option. But keep in mind that the developers did not plan on calling the location "Primitive Tribe." That was just the temp name, but it was cut from the game before so much as a design doc was drawn up, so it never got an "official name." All the same, if enough people are...

Attn RP fans: Naming the Primitive Tribe.

To be clear, I wasn't suggesting we take the exact name of any of locations I listed. Instead, I thought they might serve as an inspiration to whatever the final name ended up being. If we were to take one of the names directly, I'm inclined to agree with Yamo in that Matolle would be the best...

    Are you volunteering, Pixote? :D

Attn RP fans: Naming the Primitive Tribe.

Some of you might not be aware that "Primitive Tribe" was simply a placeholder name that the original Fallout developers had for that location. Since it was removed from the game before it was fleshed out, it never got a proper moniker. For years now, we've been calling this place Primitive...

My concern with implementing something like that is that it may seem strange to have Sgt. Granite and his men there, but not all the rescued Arroyo tribesmen who also sailed back on the tanker with you.

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 2.1.2b (Unofficial Expansion)

The Fallout Bible doesn't say they planned to do anything more with St. Granite (such as including an extra ending). Someone just asked what happens to Granite at the end of the game, and the Bible writer gave a silly answer. Here's what it says: That said, I'll look into including some...

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 2.1.2b (Unofficial Expansion)

At this point we're only looking at refining the RP's existing features to make it as bug-free as possible. Perhaps someday Killap will decide to implement more features, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Fallout 2 mod Fallout 2: Weapons Redone v2.3

Agreed. I'm beta testing the newest version of the RP, and it's a real bummer playing without this mod.

I agree. I would think most people would assume he's a mutant of some sort that's trying to hide his unsightly visage. Any place that is anti-mutants probably wouldn't allow the big malformed guy that's veiling his appearance.

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 2.1.2b (Unofficial Expansion)

I've put a lot of hours into the latest beta version of the RP, and there have been plenty of critical hits both on me and on other NPCs, but I've still yet to come across this bug. I've seen it in the previous version of the RP, but not this play-through. I'm using YAAM, as I stated earlier...

I've been play-testing the newest RP Beta, and I haven't noticed it thus far.

Just to clarify, the game doesn't need to be installed elsewhere on the C Drive to avoid the problem. It simply needs to be installed anywhere except for the Program Files folder. It doesn't matter what drive it's installed in, C, D, whatever, as long as it's not in the Program Files folder...
