Skills in Fallout 4: What We Know

List of lists. Loved by CS people, hated by most. I find them practical.

    "Advanced Power Armour Mk II"

They don't look like they're trying too hard to look like the originals, I'll give them that. They're not even trying, I'd say.

Skills in Fallout 4: What We Know

No. It would make for a more reactive character, the world remains unscathed. And the character with the previous system is as reactive as the player wants, being the only part that is under the player's control, while the world is still just as unreactive as it was before.

Fallout 4: Does anyone else find the pre-war opening contrived?

I don't know where did you get the whole trained from birth and orphan parts from. I usually don't like the whole "chosen one" tropes that much, actually. In that aspect I prefer both the RP (because it makes it clear that you really aren't a "chosen one" as in any kind of "this is your fate"...

Skills in Fallout 4: What We Know

While from what you say it does sound like the game is unbalanced, some builds will always be more viable than others, it's pretty much a part of role playing. Some people are more skilled than others, and further, some skills are more useful in a given context than others. Balance comes from...

What if a Bethesda employee came here every week/month?

There is no rule in quantum mechanics regarging thought affecting reality, and even if there were, there are much more people possitively thinking they want Beth to keep doing Fallout games, so...

What is it with people and the immortal dog?

@MessedUpPro: I think I implied the laziness factor, but it wasn't actually pointing at Beth, but at the argument that "it doesn't matter because modders can fix it". It does matter. In fact, it matters more. If a few modders can fix it, then it means they just tossed out an unfinished product...

People ignoring the sirens on 10-23-2077

Not necessarily like I depicted it, just let myself go with the flow of my thoughts and didn't fully analyze it. I don't live there, so I don't know how USA really is, but how their own movies depict it, it sure looks like it. And since the pre-war world is usually painted like such, I thought...

Why does Arroyo use tribal motifs and rituals if it was founded by vault dwellers?

Yes, I read the wiki after asking, and it all came to memory. Thanks anyway!

    Addictions

I'm not sure if I hope you mean masturbation or if I hope you mean actually choking chikens.

A Site for Fallout Fans afraid of the old games!

First and foremost, I love @Buxbaum666's avatar. Is it your own artwork, or borrowed from where? Secondly, I appreciate the intention of the guy, for people to be nice to each other. The problem with his approach is a dead horse, so I won't be beating it now, you all already specified what is...

Why does Arroyo use tribal motifs and rituals if it was founded by vault dwellers?

I haven't played new versions of the RP in a while, would you care to tell me a bit more about this?

Does Nuking both Nations at the end of LR destroy them?

That's how I recall it, too, that's my point. They are stationed since not too long ago, their crops aren't really catching up due to the drought they're suffering (there's even a quest about that, to help the sharecroppers), and the supply line is a problem in general. I don't remember any clue...

Places you'd like to see a Fallout game take place

I'd like to see a spin-off in another country. Preferably a more periferic country, like my own, Argentina, but any would do. Not only just to satisfy my own curiosity as to what the rest of the world became, but because it would force the makers to be creative and make new factions, and would...

Kotaku profiles No Mutants Allowed and hating Fallout 3

"The oldest fansite in Fallout history, a community that loves the Fallout universe more than anything else in the world, has thoroughly rejected Bethesda’s take on the fiction." Wasn't that the unwashed village?

    Opinions on Fallout 4?

I think part of the problem is they still want to be able to use the phrase "YOU'RE S.P.E.C.I.A.L.". I think they got too invested to that. SPECIAL is just a system they bastardized, we can go with a normal PC! What I mean is, I don't (necessarily) want a special character from the start, maybe...

The NCR in general or the NCR on the Mojave?

Why does Arroyo use tribal motifs and rituals if it was founded by vault dwellers?

TBH, the existence of psychic powers in Fallout 2 doesn't surprise me that much, considering there was psychers created with the help of FEV in Fallout 1, and the explosion of the Mariposa Base could have sent some FEV into the air and have unpredictable effects on the population in low doses...

People ignoring the sirens on 10-23-2077

First, that kind of "we might all die tomorrow" tension doesn't escape the ones who benefit from the system. Specially considering the riots are partly against them. Secondly, in times of war, being a loyal soldier pays the least, specially in a culture where being a loyal soldier is enough to...
