    Thoughts on the brotherhood?

New Vegas (especially Joshua Graham’s dialogue in Honest Hearts) more or less clarified what exactly it means to be a “tribe” in Fallout, and the Brotherhood is definitely considered one.

    Thoughts on the brotherhood?

Sounds like Redditors. I think the brotherhood has been seriously “flanderized”, as they say. In the first game they really aren’t that bad. They don’t seem much more xenophobic than most other groups in the game, they openly trade with other settlements, their front gate guard is very...

What are your thoughts on the upcoming Fallout TV show?

The creator of the show is a huge Fallout 3 fan. I guarantee he hasn’t played any of the Fallouts before 3, but he has technically played the games. This is a rare instance where the show would be better off if he hadn’t played any of the games.

Fauna, Flora, Factions, and Facilities of the Wasteland

Thanks, and I like the Fahrenheit 451 idea (I’m sure my idea was subconsciously inspired by that book anyway) except that it almost gives them too much of a justification for their religion, if that makes sense. Like, I’d rather that the original founders took serious leaps in logic while...

What You LIKE About Fallout 4

Yeah that’s true, it would need to be a full-size fully-populated Vault in order to justify this method, and I don’t know how feasible 1000+ cryo-pods would be. Yeah I like this better.

Fauna, Flora, Factions, and Facilities of the Wasteland

I don’t have a document written up or anything, but I’ve had an idea for a fire-worshipping raider tribe/cult for a while now. I like the idea of post-apocalyptic societies/religions arising from radically misinterpreted aspects of the pre-war world, so these guys would model themselves after...

What You LIKE About Fallout 4

I’d just like to throw my two cents in and say that I prefer the idea that we never see the pre-war world, but instead allow the player to describe it through dialogue. Leaves things open to interpretation, especially if we’re given contradictory dialogue options (that could both be true in...

    Scene from Fallout TV show

Walton Goggins is great as always, Dale Dickey too (I think that was her), but everything else about this just looks terrible.

Fallout TV show coming 2024, featuring Vault 33 in Los Angeles

Religious nerds used to bitch and moan about shit like this too. What do you think the Council of Nicaea was for?

Play all Fallout games chronologically! - Join! Continues into 2024

I didn’t know that. But I’m pretty sure you can’t pickpocket “creatures” in Bethesda games, only NPCs like humans and ghouls.

Lonesome Road Final Choice kind of sucks

I think the whole nuke thing is dumb too. Nuking one or the other or both doesn’t seem to have any affect on the game beyond giving you a new area to visit with some unique loot. It seems to me that launching a nuclear missile would be more significant than anything else that happens in the...

Play all Fallout games chronologically! - Join! Continues into 2024

You can’t sneak past the jailer (iirc), the door to Harland’s dead girlfriend requires a key. And the jailer is the only one with a key. I think you have to pretty much one-shot him from stealth in order to kill him without alerting anyone. Honestly, I think the only way I’ve achieved a...

    New Fallout trailer

What a gentleman, to allow some of the creators of Fallout 2 and the cancelled Fallout 3 to work on the world that he himself created with the release of Fallout 3.

Does the NCR have a Navy or Air Force?

It would make sense to use boats to transport goods to settlements along the coastline, as that would be cheaper and probably safer than land caravans. And this would likely lead to piracy, which might necessitate a small navy to escort merchant ships. The only issue with this is that, for...

Does the NCR have a Navy or Air Force?

They’ll have a fleet of sheet metal rafts mounted with Fatman mortars, I’m sure. They’ll use it to invade China or something.

    New Fallout trailer

People really think that the writers have considered any of this, huh? Even us dumbasses can recognize when the creators of Fallout really weren’t thinking things through (what is and isn’t caused by FEV, for example). Anyway, how long until we get a post telling people to stop being so...

A first look at Magic the Gathering - Fallout. Available March 8, 2024

I understand, but it’s not like they used that character model for the art on any other cards (to my knowledge). Could’ve at least gave him longer hair and a 10mm SMG. Not that any of this matters, of course.

This one is funny, even though he doesn’t really look like Ian.
