    It is also possible to get the above-Stage 5 NPC protos in vanilla, if you enable the parameter in ddraw.ini for it... Maybe it'd have been better to have the companions always start at Stage 1 (Lvl. 2) to avoid the problem altogether?

    I was thinking about this page on Vault-Tec Labs: http://falloutmods.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_2_Engine_Offsets It contains info on various "hardcoded" things in the Fallout engine, the things can be edited from there rather than simply using the ddraw.ini to point towards overriding things...

    I doubt RP 2.3.4 might end up including it, or even that the new version will come because Killap is busy with other things. I will have to admit though that the idea to add another companion at the Khans base (besides Tandi) isn't a dumb idea, 'cause with all the stuff that can be carried...

    Nope Sduibek, last time I checked there was no "Realistic Arroyo" mod or anything included. It must have to do with the mod(s) being from 2004.

    Where did the Setting Improvement mod go, by the way? The original was Realistic Arroyo intended to replace that Temple of Trials from out of nowhere, then more ideas came to make it feel like Fallout 1 and not like pop-culture references all over the place.

    It's not really a mod Sduibek, I put duplicated content that is unchanged in Fallout 2 (some art *is* changed, but not all of them) gets moved back to FO1 and I try to point FO2 content towards a master.dat and critter.dat folder instead of DAT file... then I try to make it load Fallout 2 stuff...

    There's no actual "Sfall" for Fallout 1, it was only something with a similar name intended to fix black screen issues. The last version of that was 1.18e.

    That's the problem with saving games in-combat, because then you have to quickly tap the action key so it becomes your turn and then you can try ending it. For me in Necropolis at the Watershed, I also had to put away all my weaponry otherwise the companions were enemies with me... Don't forget...

    So, what I get from not seeing Blades members (ex. Romero, Julianna's love) or Followers like Peter, Neil, or even Jake in the Boneyard is the result of holding them back until the Fallout 2 conversion. I understand that it's hard when trying to convert FO2 maps into FO1 format.

    Even with pushing critters, you still have to watch for the companions still getting in your way at times. That's where you can use the Sfall function to directly control 'em and move them away... In addition, Ian and Katja could use their Big Guns and Energy Weapons (for the latter) skills...

    I've gotta complain a bit: Even if the Followers quest can be done, I think it needs doing the spy quest properly. That can be done with the Update Mod 1.2.5, and the idea is to train the Followers in the ways of war in order to completely fulfill the conditions of the New Vegas foreshadowing...
