What was the point of Fallout 4's story?

I was around 13. I'm not saying the story was played out well, I'm just saying that it was at least a little more interesting that Fallout 4's story.

What was the point of Fallout 4's story?

Oh yea, I forgot that you had to find your son in this. Still, like you said, it's essentially just a Shooting Gallery.

What was the point of Fallout 4's story?

Seriously, I am utterly confused on this. What exactly was the point of Fallout 4's story, or at least, what did it accomplish? I've only played through the Brotherhood of Steel ending, and it seems like all you did was get rid of a few synths and kill a bunch scientists that could of helped...

Instead, you just start cramming soft stuff into the pillow case, until you have something that sort of represents a full pillow. When you finally try to sleep on...

"Kid In The Fridge" Quest = the stupidest quest ever.

Since someone brought up the Children of Atom, am I the only one who thought it would've been cool to stumble upon the Children of Atom camp in Fallout 4, and instead of healthy people, you find horribly mutated used-to-be-people? And as you talk to them, you find out that they think their...

    Too Much Color?

How did I never think of this? It's so obvious!

    Too Much Color?

Now, I don't necessarily mind Fallout 4 having a bit more color than previous titles, but I almost feel like there is just too much color. A lot of things in the world look like they were given a fresh coat of pain with just a little bit of rust on top. I mean, paint fades over time, there's...
