Would people be interested in contributing to NMA's Fallout 4 and DLC review?

Should we have little comments in regards to Survival Mode in each section of the review, or a separate section focusing solely on Survival Mode?

    PS4 mod support update

One thing I'll say about New Vegas, that yes it does have lag issues, but I never died from bumping past a car like I did in Fallout 4.

OK, I'll start jotting down some notes and anecdotes in regards to survival mode.

    PS4 mod support update

Honestly, none of this is surprising to me, in fact I don't even know if I want mods on my PS4 at this point, after hearing what a nightmare it can be for XB1 users. Sure, some lost novelty, but are we seeing any kind of mod quests that are on par with those made for Skyrim or NV? I don't think...

Hey guys! We got mentioned in a Nuka World review!

Pretty much this. When I bother with game reviews and I see anything with a score of 6 or below, I skip it. Not worth the time and effort, save perhaps for perverse curiosity.

Would people be interested in contributing to NMA's Fallout 4 and DLC review?

I think I could add things towards gameplay and possible replay value. I'm currently doing a game in survival mode, and trying to play it as mainly an evil character. There's things I'm finding that are interesting and frustrating, along with some issues with how survival mode works as a whole.

Nuka world one step backwards one step forwards ?

One claim I find amusing, is how many will say the combat's better overall; but is it? Enemies still level and become tanks, harder enemies are scattered all throughout with little reason, too many areas are over stuffed with enemy camps, a crummy perk system that slowly improves...

I think Nuka World and Far Harbor were quite good.

I get the feeling these are cubicle drones being forced to speak about a piece of DLC that they half-heartedly worked on due to it being their job. They look really uncomfortable and forced. I keep watching how often they blink their eyes, wondering if there's a hidden message there, that if...

I think Nuka World and Far Harbor were quite good.

I think overall, Far Harbor's alright; nothing mind blowing, but competent enough for a single playthrough. It suffers from reusing too much of the same kinds of assets from the vanilla game, along with common enemies like ghouls, raiders, and super mutants. What I liked about Far Harbor wasn't...

Nuka world one step backwards one step forwards ?

Here's the Destructoid review: https://www.destructoid.com/review-fallout-4-nuka-world-384663.phtml They give it a very average score, how weak the Season Pass ended up being, and even mentioned this fine site in it.

Nuka world one step backwards one step forwards ?

It's silly video game logic, the kind that would have fit perfectly fine in an old 8-bit game. I personally won't get my panties in a twist over something like that, it's more the lack of any real puzzle solving that annoys me. Once I was told how to do the fight, I lost interest real quick and...

Nuka world one step backwards one step forwards ?

There's more to the boss fight than just beating him with a squirt gun: The Overboss wears a special power armor charged with energy that prevents him from taking damage. You use the squirt gun to short it out, lowering his defenses for a short time period, at which point you can use guns...

Nuka world one step backwards one step forwards ?

I'll give them a tiny bit of credit that in the quest to either blow up or save Megaton, that if you did the goody goody thing of telling the local law what was going down, it only led to him getting shot. Doing the right thing sometimes leads to bad consequences. That was a nice little...

    Nuka Rant

I could see them trying to turn it into an MMO or multiplayer FPS with looting and crafting, complete with buyable currency and microtransactions. Considering how they've burned all their goodwill on this game and season pass, I see it only getting worse. But the funny thing is, the thing...

    Nuka Rant

Yes and no. I find it heartening when I see people realizing that this was not the game anyone wanted, or when I see people mention how they're done with Bethesda games. Even in former fanboy strongholds, a lot of people are not happy and are voicing it. The latest and weakest rebuttal from...

    Nuka Rant

This isn't so much a rant, as valid criticisms. I'm having an OK time with this DLC, mainly because I'm treating it like a wacky mod. That's what kills me about this DLC: It's plays out like a competent mod minus good quests. So much of the story is done through notes and terminals [What is...

    Nuka World: No Review Possible

I'm looking forward to Destructoid's review/assessment of the season pass; they've hinted at this being one of the worst in recent memory. I'm also looking forward to alchestbreach playing Nuka World, only to discover passed speech checks will still lead to failed quests, being unable to go for...

    Nuka World: No Review Possible

Funnily enough, the Steam reviews are already Mixed for this DLC, and it's only been out for a few days. Quite the capper indeed. Now all we need is for a modder to make an in-game ramshackle building with a sign on it that reads BETHESDA'S WRITING, and have all of the windows and doors boarded-up.

    Fallout 4 – Vacationing in Nuka-World

However, keep in mind Mankind Divided contains micro transactions to spoil things. Heaven forbid we're not fucking nickel and dimed.

    Fallout 4 – Vacationing in Nuka-World

I'm not very far into the DLC, but there is an option to help the slaves by killing the sub-raider bosses, which I'm led to believe results in the park becoming a free trading hub. The introduction quest is super linear but kind of fun, save for having to deal with countless tripwires and...
