Which location is the best to build settlements?

If you just want a place where you can build a lot and have plenty of space, it's Spectacle Island. You'll need to clear it of Mirelurks first, and then that's it. It's the largest land mass for settlements, with some preexisting buildings to make things interesting as far as what to do with...

Everything we know about Mods on Console

Honestly, you do have a point. So many companies are jumping on the Minecraft/Sim bandwagon, years behind the curve of course. I suppose I should stop expecting a higher level of maturity.

Everything we know about Mods on Console

These are snotty little children. I'm a console user, and I've been checking up on the mods, to see what might be heading for the PS4. I'm honestly going to be happy for whatever I can get. Some look pretty promising, even fun. I've been noticing the demanding comments, and all I can say, is...

    Possible Interview with Chris Avellone

Mine's more concerned with writing in general: What's your writing routine like? Do you warm up your laptop or computer first thing on waking, and just crack away as the coffee seeps in? How many written pages do you consider a good output for the day? Have you ever written a character to whom...

    Obsidian?

If we do get Chris in a Q&A, I honestly just want to hear the inside scoop, the stuff he does to make his craft as a writer better. I could not care less about getting him to speak negatively about another game makers work. In fact, if this ball does manage to get rolling, how about a post where...

    Best Fallout Antagonist?

NV's is full of neat little contradictions and ironies. Mr. House is all knowing and powerful, yet a vegetable, unable to move let alone breathe outside. The Legion and NCR's power stems from expansionistic goals that are threatening to tear them apart should either one succeed. Caesar's...

    Fallout 4: Exploring Far Harbor

I think it might have been more believable if they were oil tankers, though there's proof pointing to the smaller ship crashes as being recent. I can buy that, but not ships that were wrecked hundreds of years ago and still on fire.

    Best Fallout Antagonist?

And while we're on Lanius, let's also mention how he's made into this imposing monster with that mask covering his face, and yet, should you kill him and remove it, he's quite handsome. Nothing's as it appears. As for other possible antagonists from NV, what about Benny or Mr. House? Benny's...

    Far Harbor Official Discussion

It kind of works if you suspend a metric ton of disbelief. If you ignore the countless plot holes, it could work that everyone did die in the cyrostatis; funny how you're the only one to somehow survive. Shaun wants you to act out a revenge on Kellogg, an agent that's slippery and dangerous, and...

    Far Harbor Official Discussion

There's simply not enough reviews for Metacritic to matter right now; a handful at best. Steam reviews might be a better place to look for varying views on Far Harbor, and considering they're not putting up with the likes of Workstation DLC, a much harsher critique. As for Far Harbor as a...

    Fallout 4: Exploring Far Harbor

I've pretty much finished the DLC; only a few side quests and locations left to explore. There's things I enjoyed and didn't. What I liked: The location and fog were well done, the new enemies a nice change up; I don't think there's anything pointing directly to King or Lovecraft, more mood...

Could Synths have worked in the Fallout setting?

Killer clowns could work as a silly one-off mission. The player meets a group of friendly retired raiders. They're all old and tired of fighting, and have worked hard to create good will with the locals, settling down so as to enjoy their twilight years. A member of the group, Trembles takes a...

    Fallout 4: Exploring Far Harbor

Anyone stumble on the Drive-in? That was a nasty little surprise. I wish they'd focused on more stuff like that, instead of haunted houses. Keep it simple stupid. As for the price vs. worth, no way is this worth it. I'd have little issue grabbing it when it's on sale for 50% off, though. In...

    Fallout 4: Exploring Far Harbor

If that's real, it looks like a corporate walking advertisement, like the uniform of a NASCAR driver, or their car for that matter. I can clearly see the Vin drink name on one of the raised shoulders, and something maybe island related on the other. The red makes me think of the Red Rocket...

    Fallout 4: Exploring Far Harbor

I've not gotten too far in (maybe about half of the Harbor people's quests, cleared one optional location, and started a single settlement), but so far, I like what I'm seeing. It kind of reminds me of Honest Hearts, in that you have a few factions, do some busy work for them, explore the local...

Two more pieces of Wasteland Workshop DLC incoming

Considering how it appears they see how much the players want aspects of NV back, and how they've listened and shoe-horned things like better choices and stat checks into the latest DLC, I doubt they'd be stupid enough to touch NV with a DLC. We can only wait and see, however.

    Fallout 4: Exploring Far Harbor

I'm a bit optimistic about this DLC. If they've bothered with actual choices, logical enemies, and enough meat to sink my teeth in, I'll be happy. It still could end up being so-so, or worse. I don't think we've seen any super mutants, so that's a plus as far as I'm concerned. Pity PS4 doesn't...
