Gotta love how everyone conveniently forgets that you couldn't even finish Skyrim as it was released. There was a goddamn gamebreaking bug in the main quest! You couldn't even reload to a previous save and run the phase again, you had to start a new game! Despite the numerous problems New Vegas...

The old Thief games, especially The Metal Age had a unique charm to them while the new one is way too dour and joyless. Garrett's smartass comments were entertaining, the secrets you discovered during your missions were intriguing and I especially liked that the guards weren't really all evil...

Pillars is fantastic, I hope it wins something, but I highly doubt it. I'm also happy for the success of the Witcher 3. I'm not really a fan of the series I just couldn't get deeply involved with it... but I'm glad it's getting recognition because I feel like there is genuine thought and effort...

That's why New Vegas was a good role playing game, it involved actual role playing. You want to be gay, bisexual, a hetero dude who's good at seducing both sexes, or a murderous asexual weirdo with a terminal disgust for the human body? Yup, all of that and much more. Not in Fallout 4 apparently.
