I remember reading in the Fallout bibles that the egg was supposed to hatch into an NPC. A chicken to be exact, but it was never implemented ( due to time constraints methinks),there wasa also a doctor from vault 15 who came with you. Both can be fond in the fallout files ( I do belive).

This is a game, if you always hit the head after missing the eyes its still going to do a hell of alot of damage. If fallout is made 1st person, i just dont think id buy it.
