Don't be fucking stupid, nobody bathes with their gun. This is the 21st century... you shower with your firearm. Re: Shoulder holster... what type of pistol are you trying to conceal? Fobus, Uncle Mike's, Bianchi (I think that's the name, something similar either way), Galco, Blackhawk...

What are your favourite fictional characters?

Hm, probably not. I bet I'd do alright for the most part, until I started having to hammer out deals with people or getting jobs. This is really kind of a random question, though. Did you mean Kirk? Because again, I doubt it. Never said he was a shitty captain, just said he was a fag.

Dry firing is "firing" the gun without a round in the chamber/cylinder. I suppose you could still have a loaded magazine while you do it, but it's... uh.. not a great idea, I'd wager.

Blackwater USA's license revoked in IRAQ

Accountability's one thing... expecting armed forces not to respond to violence just because the people attacking them are "just civilians" is something else. Meh. Moot point anyhow, they've been reinstated.

Blackwater USA's license revoked in IRAQ

Yes, I'm sure these eeeeevil Blackwater types (mostly criticized by smaller merc firms, who are doing the same thing and stand to gain monetarily if Blackwater disappears) just gunned down a bunch of innocent civilians because they were bored. Jesus christ.

What are your favourite fictional characters?

    - From firefly: Malcolm Reynolds, Wash and Jayne. The operative was pretty cool too, as was Early... only Early's basically just a more verbose Boba Fett. - "The man with no name" from the Dollars trilogy, as well as Pale Rider (I think that's the name) and whatever that one where he...

...especially with Ruger semi-autos. Any gun can get hurt with too much dry-firing, though. I broke a revolver's firing pin (or maybe just the spring) like that. Mighta been a fluke, though.

It's the 30-round semi-auto version of the P90. PS.... no, I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not.

So what's the deal with the 5.7? I'd assume it's mass-velocity ratio, or whatever you want to call it, would result in either poor penetration or poor fragmentation/wound channel... in other words, not really hitting that "sweet spot" that the 5.56 does. Though I'm woefully ignorant on the...

I got robbed by the NYPD!

I'm in Alaska, but I doubt it's too different most other places. I'm not going to suggest for a second that they won't occasionally hand out a bullshit ticket... I'm just saying that I don't think their shift sergeant (or whatever they're called) tells them that they'll be "guarding crosswalks...

I got robbed by the NYPD!

Yawn. Even the police that aren't "bad apples" stand by and protect the ones who are, so fuck them, too. Funny how people let them slide, but if I... say, helped my friend bury a body or cover up evidence, suddenly I'm an accomplice. Love that double standard. And yes, police corruption is...

No idea, but it's a good question. I have this feeling that it's illegal. Call it a hunch. Illegal until you pay them, at least.

CB 750... eat it. Ha, I kid. The engine's fucked for the time being.

I got robbed by the NYPD!

It's bullshit to be sure, but I doubt there's anything you can do except bend over and take it in the ass. If you lived in a smaller town, you might be able to argue the point, but NYC judges are probably so sick of seeing people that they don't really care about anyone's freedoms anymore...

Man dies six days after assault

While I'm not saying that that particular stat is incorrect, saying that it's right just because it's in some books is pretty... short-sighted. They used to write about how goddamn flat the earth was. Doesn't make it true.

Man dies six days after assault

Actually, "manliness" is an issue, especially when knowing how to defend oneself is part of being "manly." I suppose it's a pretty fluid definition, but here's a quick reference: 50 Cent, Eminem, Linkin Park, that kid who played Donnie Darko: Not manly. Dirty Harry: Manly. Sure...

Yeah, I definitely want one of the SOCOMs. Maybe a SOCOM II, though it's more expensive and I don't yet own any of the shit I'd hang on the front. Course, I also want a Saiga in .308. I don't know why, I've just had this huge yearning for one recently. Re: 1911s, check back at like...

Haha, yeah. I've heard stories... but I'm content to stick with soft primers. Funny aside to that, I've got a 3rd gen G20 that's of a series that was supposed to be recalled, I think... I read about it, noticed that the number stamped inside it was missing the extra letter designation that...

From what I understand, the 6.8 and 5.56 have trajectories similar enough that any minute differences can be all but entirely dismissed. Meaning if you're just killing paper, the 5.56 works almost exactly the same as a 6.8. Terminal ballistics are a different matter. As for the 6.5 >...
