I'm now trying to get it to run with the D3D program. However, it keeps crashing when FO2 starts up. ;,;

Does having the Restoration Mod installed have an effect on this? I cannot use the hi-res mod (I unpatch it), it'll just show a blank screen. That's okay, since I really prefer the old skool way anyway. I've tried changing settings and the like, but nothing has worked. :(

I'm going to try nuking the explorer. Then if that doesn't work, I'll make sure my video card is updated. I already installed directx 9 and all its updates. To no avail. I will try these solutions now.

I just purchased and installed Fallout 2 from GOG.com. I've been searching, but I haven't found anything concrete to suggest that I should or shouldn't patch it. Am I correct in assuming that since it's made to be compatible with Vista, that it is indeed patched properly? Other questions...
